New Paintings Still Wet

"Cliff Shadows on the Sea"

There was a bit of hiking and cold weather involved in this trip but on this occasion we were rewarded by this bright and windswept view from Pendeen Watch. It was steep and slippery with the wet grass and after a slip too close the edge for comfort I adopted a seated position which was safer! I call this the fetal ball painting position! It did mean I had to use the full length of the brush, something that is easy to forget when it is windy and everything is being buffeted around!

Hi Michael,

You don't wanna know how envy I am seeing all you guys(and girl)work. What a trip it would been. I love your coastal work, somehow it's really suits you distinct areal perspective use.
I would like to know which colour you used in this painting for that wonderful deep blue see, reckon it's cerulean or cobalt, but I am not sure. Again a lovely bunch of work you made!! well worth the effort.
